Microsoft Security Essentials - " the best anti-virus Microsoft have ever released".

I have been looking for an antivirus which will protect my usual PC activities and online as well. ESETNOD32 has done well so far with their online malware checks and keyloggers have never been able to reachmy PC. But I have been troubled when a small virus from an external USB and eventhough when I checked with my ESETNOD32, they didn't report any virus attack.

One of my friend told me about Microsoft's new antivirus - Microsoft Security Essentials. So , I thought of giving it a try and went to their site. What surprised me the most was, it was completely FREE. Immediately I downloaded my free copy and it was really fast and small in size. The setup was only a 5-minute step and they immediately scanned my PC and the USB which contained the virus. I was surprised at the speed they reported the virus and deleted it on the spot.




Being fully satisfied with Microsoft Security Essentials, I thought of writing a review about it.

PROS

1. Absolutely a FREE and developed by Microsoft.

2. Very easy to use and clean user-interface.

3. Complete PC protection from external and internal virus attacks. Option to delete and clean the virus.Its better to delete as they report the same virus which have cleaned as Harmful.




CONS

1. One of the most important problem faced by Microsoft is their inability to stop attacks from internet spywares and keyloggers. This antivirus is not suitable for a full-time internet user.

2. Does not clean spyware and keyloggers from internet usage.

In this review of microsoft security essential, what I say is that you also keep a ESETNOD32 along with you to protect you from internet attacks. They are really helpful ant the mostpowerful anti-virus then Norton and Mcafee.
